Nancy Mason, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Meet Nancy.
Nancy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 27 years of experience supporting children and their families. She is passionate about helping children develop the emotional, social, and behavioral skills they need to thrive both at home and at school.
Nancy believes that every child has unique strengths, and she works alongside families to help children better understand themselves, build confidence, and develop healthy ways to navigate life's challenges.
With decades of experience working with children across educational and clinical settings, Nancy creates a supportive, encouraging environment where young clients feel safe to learn, grow, and be themselves.
My Approach to Therapy.
Nancy believes that children do their best when they feel understood, supported, and equipped with the skills they need to succeed. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and developmentally appropriate, meeting each child where they are while partnering closely with parents and caregivers.
With her extensive experience working at Berrien RESA, Nancy brings a unique understanding of how children's thinking patterns, emotional development, learning styles, and social interactions influence their success at school. She recognizes that academic performance is often closely connected to emotional well-being, executive functioning, peer relationships, and self-confidence.
In therapy, Nancy helps children develop practical skills for emotional regulation, problem-solving, communication, and healthy relationships. She believes that lasting change comes from helping children recognize their strengths while providing them with tools they can confidently use in everyday life. When appropriate, she also collaborates with families and schools to support consistent growth across the environments that matter most to a child's development.
